In our business we can't separate consultancy from software development. It is an integrated and very important part of the process of software development, because it brings considerable value to each project. The consultancy service follows a list of steps:
Step 1: Business Analysis
In this step we try to identify business needs, to imagine solutions to business key issues, to identify risks and gaps. We interact with more elements, not just the technical ones. The system might interact with a couple of other activities like finance, accounting, human resources, general management, etc. During this step we would aim to extract, interpret and document the varying viewpoints, issues and priorities raised by each of the key stakeholders, to analyze them and to come with a second opinion or proposals where we think it's necessary.
Step 2: Business Process Mapping
Performing this mapping analysis enables an organization to review its functions and to determine if there are any grounds for improving efficiencies either within or between an organization’s departments. The entire process flow is decomposed into components, business units or subunits in order to learn more about each one and to manage them through a software system.
Step 3: Solutions Engineering
At this step we should know exactly what our customer wants and we are ready to offer him a solution, proposing technologies, system design, time schedule and budget. The next step would be a refinement of the solution, negotiations and engangement from both parts. Our goal is to offer clear solutions, with various options with certain budgets and time, that conduct both parties to a transparent and safe partnership.
Step 4: Project Management
Managing, organizing or planning the resources that will implement a project are integrated in the project management work. BitStar takes the role of Project Manager for projects we are implementing, unless the customer has other inquiries or the project suppose an external project management team. We take the challenge of delivering in time and at the right quality standards imposed for all agreed software development projects.
